This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you use the Fraud Checker Mobile Application, Web Dashboard, and API (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect two distinct categories of information through our Services in order to provide a reliable courier history and fraud checker lookup platform:
A. Merchant & Developer Account Data (Your Data)
To register, authenticate, and manage your Fraud Checker account, we collect:
- Contact Information: Email address and active mobile phone number.
- Authentication Data: Password hashes, SMS OTP verification details, and active JWT/API tokens.
- Usage Logs & Analytics: IP address, request frequency, browser details, and rate-limiting metrics.
B. Queried Customer Data (End-User Data)
When you use our Fraud Check feature or WordPress/WooCommerce Plugin, we process:
- Queried Phone Numbers: The 11-digit mobile phone numbers of your customers submitted at checkout or in the search bar to perform parcel success history queries.
- Aggregated Delivery Statistics: Delivery, cancellation, and success rates retrieved in real-time from our courier partners.
Notice regarding Queried Numbers: The telephone numbers you query are processed solely to pull real-time aggregated delivery rates from logistics networks. They are never sold, rented, or repurposed for marketing campaigns.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process the collected data for the following legitimate business purposes:
- To Provide the Services: Authenticating your session via SMS OTP (processed securely via our SMS gateway partner) and serving real-time courier query statistics.
- Concurrent Courier Querying: When a lookup is performed, our backend contacts active courier APIs simultaneously to compute aggregated statistics with minimal latency.
- Performance & Bandwidth Optimization: We use secure Redis-based caching to store queried parcel stats temporarily. This protects logistics providers' endpoints from rate-limit exhaustion and improves dashboard speed.
- Abuse Prevention & Security: We monitor query rates and user sessions to enforce rate limits, preventing scraping or system abuse.
3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosures
We respect the confidentiality of your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers' phone numbers. We share information only under the following conditions:
- Logistics & Courier Providers: Queried phone numbers are securely sent strictly in real-time to integrated logistics partners (RedX, Pathao, Steadfast, Carrybee, Paperfly) to retrieve stats.
- Authentication Services: Merchant phone numbers are sent to our SMS gateway provider exclusively for OTP delivery.
- Compliance with Law: When requested by legal or government authorities of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
4. Data Security
We implement robust, industry-standard security measures to safeguard all stored and in-transit data:
- All API connections and web traffic are strictly encrypted over secure HTTPS/TLS protocols.
- User passwords are securely hashed in our database. Developer API tokens are stored unencrypted for ease of merchant access, meaning the protection and security of your API tokens is a shared responsibility.
- We perform periodic audits to protect against unauthorized database access.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
We respect your control over your data. In compliance with the Google Play Store developer guidelines, we provide complete data control options:
- You can view, update, or rotate your API tokens from the developer dashboard.
- You can securely update your login credentials or register a new phone number.
- Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account, API tokens, and integration credentials. You can request deletion directly via the Delete Account Page or from the Settings menu in the mobile app.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by publishing the updated version on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
